Graz's landmark, the clock tower on the Schlossberg, towers imposingly over Graz's old town and is a prominent feature in many photos of Graz.
Throughout the year, it is the cultural hub of the country thanks to many well-known festivals. Austria's only capital of pleasure invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. Every year before Christmas, the state capital is dressed up for Advent. The traditional Christmas tree on Graz's main square shines in all its splendor when the 25,000 Christmas tree lights are switched on. The Advent huts at the Advent markets in Graz's old town invite you to take a Christmas stroll. Another highlight alongside the Christmas markets during Advent in Graz is the internationally famous ice crib in the Landhaushof.
